21/04/01: Tony Farrell of 131 Donovan Dr, Comox, BC, Canada V9M 2T1, writes: Searching fo any members of James Farrell family, a blacksmith living at Jacob's Well Westleigh/Leigh in the 1850-60's. Wife Ann O'Connor, had 11 children ,two sisters Ellen and Elizabeth ran a Grocery store on Preston Rd in 1905. Any information appreciated. tfarrell@mars.ark.com

20/04/01: Eileen Madsen of 157 Ridge Park Avenue Stamford, Connecticut USA 06905 writes: I am trying to locate my aunt, DORIS BUCKLEY STOUT, born September 2, 1925. Doris married a man called Robert Henry Stout at the St Helens Parish Church, Church Square, on August 5, 1944. They had at least 2 children. Doris's only sister is Eileen Buckley born December 2, 1922 (3 yrs older) Doris was last heard from some time around 1958. Her marriage cert. shows that she lived at 26 Oxford Street St Helens, and that her parents were Annie and Arnold Buckley. 2/04/01: Jean (Tonge) Collison writes: Tickets are now being sold for a school reunion of pupils who started George Tomlinson Secondary School, Kearsley, in 1962 and left 1966-67, and were in the same year as Dianne Reed, Jean Tonge and Barry Rothwell. The date is Friday 18th May 2001 at Farnworth and Kearsley Labour Club, price £2. Quite a few pupils have been found, but we are still trying to trace Annette Griffiths, Sandra Tomlinson, Nancy Williams, Billy Isherwood, James Murphy, Ian Wilcox, Kevan Wilson.
