Former RAF colleagues write ... Looking for any ex RAF colleagues who served in the Signal
Centre at RAF Negombo, Ceylon, during 1954-57. All would now be in their mid sixties. Many would have
been "extras" in the making of the epic film "Bridge over the river Kwai". Contact is required for

Dave Lyon from New Zealand writes ... Hi to any one interested. My great great grandparents
lived at 207 Kirkhall Lane, Westleigh, as did my grandfatherThomas Lyon and his two brothers Jack and
Harry. My grandfather played league for Leigh, we think about 1910-1914, before joining the Lancashire
Fusiliers for the First World War. Later he married Emily Chamberlain circa 1920. They had three
children James, Matthew, Lillian. They departed for New Zealand circa 1926-27 where they settled in a
small coal mining town (Pukemiro Junction) in the Waikato. Another child was born, Ethel who later
returned to the UK. If any one knows of any connections to my family I would love to here from you.

looking for any old friends that I knew from school.I went to St. Josephs school in Mather lane,
Leigh, then transferred to Sacred Heart, then onto St Mary's girls school in Astley, left in 1962. My
maiden name was Ann Dickinson, now Hindley. I now live in British Columbia Canada and would love to
catch up on old times and find out what is happening in the Leigh area at present. Looking forward to
