1/12/01: Albert Morris of 42 BOLTON ROAD, PENDLEBURY, SALFORD, M27 8XB, writes: MORRIS FAMILY TREE. We have gone back as far as 1800, starting in Astbury, Congleton. The family then went to Tyldesley, and on to Salford. They were mostly coal miners and followed the work. I believe there are still Morris families in the Tyldesley area. My grandfather - William Morris - won a trophy for Scientific Boxing in 1903 and it was presented to him by Mrs. Hayes of the Commercial Inn, Tyldesley. The trophy is in my possession which contains the inscription. Any news of the family connection would be great. HANKYPARK2@AOL.COM
