Our English teacher Mr Cassidy even wrote a play for us in which the girls "appeared" on tape. I kept writing for 36 years and recently my pen friend and I met for the first time. Any other of the group still writing? Get in touch anyway. ernieuk@hotmail.com

2/05/01: Mary Robinson of 15 Woodcroft Park, Holywood, Co Down, BT18 0PS, Northern Ireland writes: Does anyone remember the Richardson family in Wigan at the beginning of the 20th century? My grandfather Charles Farnsworth Richardson was minister of Hope Chapel, 1896-1917, and my father and his 3 brothers attended Wigan Grammar School. They were James Howorth Richardson, Daniel Farnsworth Richardson, Charles Alfred Richardson and Edward Sunderland Richardson (David). There were also younger twins born 1907, Stephen and Margaret Richardson. Perhaps somebody remembers the family. m.robinson10@ntlworld.com
